Quadran International sponsors the “Wind For Future" festival (W4F) that promotes solutions to protect Brazilian beaches
Festival brought together kitesurfers, companies and environmental activists in Cumbuco on September, 21rst and 22nd.
The innovative event connected three themes of global importance, sustainability, entrepreneurship and sports, with the objective of debating and stimulating the technology market, in order to reduce the environmentally negative impacts generated on Brazilian beaches.
In two days, W4F brought about 50 speakers, 75 exhibitors and over 30 startups, seeking to attract investors and sponsors.
The biggest attraction of this first edition of the W4F was the Kite Parade, a race that gathered 576 kitesurfers, who paraded for a 1.6km (1 nautical mile) course and managed to break the world record for sailing set by the Guinness World Book. Quadran Brasil was the largest sponsor of this action.
Quadran Brasil CEO, Armando Abreu, gave a brief statement about the relevance of the event, and explained why Quadran Brasil immediately joined the cause.
He said “The preservation of the environment is what drives us. Here, the success of the event is the result of a collective, hands-on effort by people who believed it was possible to transform the environment through action.”
